Finca El Naranjito is located in the town of Ataco, Ahuachapan, in the heart of the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, the ring of gold for coffee growing in El- Salvador.
The farm is located near “El Imposible” national park. the jungle like canopy makes the area vey foggy throughout the year, receiving more than 3000 mm of rain annually.
El Naranjito employs more than 40 people to do all the agriculture work needed to produce coffee and approximately 200 people in the harvest season. The farm is café practices certified.
Family owned and operated by Jan-Carlo and Sofia Handtke, the farm grows more than 10 different Arabica varieties.
Lot El Batallon is located in the backside of “El Tamagas” peak overlooking the pacific ocean, tucked deep inside an untouched forest. the coffee is grown on natural slopes, very steep but protected from direct sunlight and winds.
The bourbon natural is specially for us hand picked, single variety, natural process, sun/shade dried in raised beds for 21 days. This all to ensure we got the best possible coffee for the competition
